Kristin Fisher joined CNN in 2021 when she joined CNN. She will be the Space and Defense Correspondent. As the Space and Defence Correspondent at CNN, she is responsible covering everything from NASA and its recently created Space Force up until commercial space firms, as well as the advent and growth of tourism to space. Kristin is the daughter two NASA Astronauts. Kristin has grown up in the world of space and covered the Trump and Biden Administration space policies for FOX News as White House Correspondent. Kristin also covered presidential impeachment proceedings as well as the presidential campaign for 2020 as well as efforts of two administrations to combat the Coronavirus pandemic. The former president Donald Trump traveled to Afghanistan in a trip that was highly restricted. Kristin was a fixture in the newsrooms of local markets like Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, and Washington, D.C. for nearly a decade before joining the CBS network. She was awarded an Emmy Award in Washington, D.C. as a CBS station's reporter who was a one-man band. Kristin's camera skills helped her establish Field Mouse Films which specialized in making documentaries for corporate customers such as Uber Hotels & Resorts and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin has a bachelor's degree of journalism at Boston University. She lives with her husband and their two children in Washington, D.C., and has a three-year old daughter.
